Hilliard Modern Dental is committed to preventive care. We believe the best way to treat our patients’ problems is to help prevent them from happening in the first place. We recommend the best, most comfortable treatment for each patient’s individual needs.
We teach you how to care for your teeth and gums, so that with good oral hygiene, our patients can live fully, healthy lives. Brushing at least twice a day, flossing daily, rinsing and scheduling regular cleanings may seem obvious, but did you know that proper dental hygiene also contributes to the health of other body systems, especially the heart? Periodontal (gum) disease and chronic dental infections have been linked to heart disease and stroke, so it is imperative to be properly educated in gum disease prevention. Unhealthy diets, tobacco and excessive alcohol use can contribute to oral health issues such as dental decay, periodontal disease and oral cancers, so education is key!
