Why Dental Veneers?
Veneers are created specifically to fit the unique size and shape of your teeth. They are typically recommended to:
- Hide stains caused by coffee, tea, wine, and certain medications
- Brighten worn or aged teeth
- Improve the appearance of broken or chipped teeth
- Easily hide small gaps in between teeth
- Lengthen short looking teeth
- Cover irregularly shaped teeth
Are Veneers Permanent?
Yes. Veneers are permanently bonded to the tooth and can only be removed by a dental professional. Dr. Lamielle and our team will happily discuss the many advantages and potential concerns with veneers to help you make a confident decision about your care.
How Are Veneers Placed?
An impression of your teeth will be made in the comfort of our office. s This impression is sent to our advanced lab, where our team will craft your custom veneers in about one week. Once the veneers are ready, you will come back to the office to have them placed.
In order to get the veneers to bond permanently to your teeth, Dr. Lamielle gently removes a very small amount of tooth enamel. This creates room to slip the veneer onto the tooth without any visible edge. He applies a light-sensitive resin to the tooth and the veneer and shines a special curing light onto the veneer to harden the resin and bond the veneer permanently to the tooth.
